The Cafe

A place where the coffee is as good as the light. Pull up a stool, pick a record, and stay awhile.

Kindling Coffee Roasters cafe interior with reclaimed fir countertops, natural light, and a record player in the corner

The Space

We built the cafe ourselves in the winter of 2019 — sanding the old-growth fir for the countertops, welding the steel shelving, hand-pouring the concrete bar. The space is small, maybe thirty seats, and that's by design.

The south-facing windows fill the room with natural light from open to close. There's a record player in the corner by the window — we keep the volume low and the selections eclectic. Miles Davis in the morning, Khruangbin by afternoon.

No Wi-Fi password posted, no power outlets at the tables. Not because we're trying to be difficult — we just think the best conversations happen when the laptops stay in the bag.
